A former combat pilot from Tampa, Florida and graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with degrees in Geospatial Science and Spanish. He excelled in F-15 pilot training, earning awards like Distinguished Graduate & Top Gun.
From 2008-2019, he served at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan where he earned the callsign Cabo. He was then stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson after transitioning from the F-15C Eagle to the F-22 Raptor. He flew both aircraft during Middle East combat deployments, worldwide exercises and received the Raytheon Award for top aerial combat squadron in the Air Force. Cabo later led the F-22 Demonstration Team from 2020-2022, flying over 200 airshow sorties annually and earned the Field Grade Officer of the Year Award.
Currently, he is an F-22 Subject Matter Expert with the Nevada Air National Guard, a corporate pilot, and an aviation consultant. Passionate about community and aviation, Cabo has engaged with over 12,000 students through community events and volunteers at the Planes of Fame Aviation Museum.
